28 Jan Trump Says Cannabis Users “Lose IQ Points”
Newly released audio from 2018 appears to show US President Donald Trump bad mouthing marijuana users.
The audio was released by attorney Lev Parnas, who is an associate of Trump’s attorney Rudolph Giuliani.
The leaked audio wasn’t just about cannabis. He said a lot of unfortunate things in it. Like calling to “get rid of” then US ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch. Yovanovitch later testified in the US House impeachment hearings.
The topic of marijuana was brought up during the conversation where Parnas told the president that legal marijuana is “the future, no matter how you look at it”.
Trump disagreed with Parnas with “statistics” from Colorado:
“In Colorado they have more accidents,” Trump is heard saying in the leaked audio. “It does cause an IQ problem. You lose IQ points.”
Audio of the cannabis conversation begins at 45 min & 30 sec in the video. Trump is not visible in the clip, but numerous national outlets have confirmed Trump’s attendance at the dinner, including Forbes, The Washington Post and The New York Times.
