What is Delta-8 THC?

They are similar in structure but have some notable differences. The main difference is Delta-8 THC tends to exhibit a lower psychotropic potency than Delta-9.
Basically Delta 8 THC does get you stoned, but it is not as potent as it is Delta-9 cousin. Delta-8 is approximately 75% as potent as Delta-9 THC. A good way to think about that is for every 2 hits of Delta-9 THC it takes about 3 hits of Delta-8 THC.

Delta-8 THC is found in both hemp and cannabis in small concentrations. There currently isn’t a strain of either hemp or cannabis that is particularly high in Delta-8. In order to achieve a smokable form of hemp flower that has high levels of Delta-8 THC a distillate has to be made of the Delta-8 cannabinoid and that distillate has to be sprayed onto hemp flower.
